Diagnostics
Could an undiagnosed illness or injury be plaguing your pet?
When people get sick or injured, they go to the doctor, describe their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it’s not always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t let us know when something is bothering them.
What’s more, many animals are able to mask the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.
Veterinary diagnostics allow us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can vastly increase the likelihood of a positive outcome.
Laboratory
Valley Animal Hospital’s on-site diagnostic lab makes it fast and convenient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in mere minutes. This means we can establish a treatment plan while you and your pet are still in the exam room.
Imaging
When a physical exam and lab work aren’t sufficient for reaching a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, such as x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to examine the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Images can be evaluated by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your pet has been acting unusual lately, don’t take chances. Contact Valley Animal Hospital right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.
